This program is for you!
The Details:
For athletes aged 9-13 years, and adult beginners.
This 12-week program has 3 different phases, each building off the last and preparing you for phase 3. You will strength train twice per week in addition to your other skills- and team-based practice. Workouts can be done at home with minimal equipment.
This program is designed to help you:
Get acquainted with strength training foundations for success in the game.
Improve your strength, coordination, balance and acceleration.
Maximise nutrition for fast recovery and more energy.
Know when to train and when to rest.
Understand meal-timing for performance.
Provide a smooth transition for competing in high school and beyond.
Equipment required:
Optional but recommended: Light-weight dumbbells or kettlebells, lightweight med balls, OR you can use heavy water bottles from your local grocery store, and slightly deflated soccer balls for various exercises.
